Memories of Lucy
My tribute to Lucille Ball
I found a great quote from Lucille about keeping your make up table organized or end up looking like a patchwork quilt and immediatedly a picture formed in my brain of Lucy sitting at her vanity, her makeup spread around. On the wall behind the vanity is a few momentos: a picture of the house she grew up in, herself as the Chesterfiled Girl, a picture of a postage stamp that was put out with her on it, and then 2 framed quotes. One says, " I am not funny. What I am is brave." and the one I mentioned already.
"Lucy" was accepted to the "She Made Her Mark Too" exhibit, and will be in 4 shows this coming year.
Here are the shows where you can see the exhibit, there are some fabulous quilts in it honoring some equally fabulous women! So if you get a chance, drop in!
